Six newborns registered within ceremony

The families of six newborns – three boys and three girls – from Chisinau municipality on June 1 received children’s birth certificates in a solemn ceremony held on the occasion of the final stage of the contest “Solemne registration of newborns” and of the  International Children’s Day. Within this contest, there was designated the best civil status officer, IPN reports.

The birth certificates were handed over by Minister of Justice Vladimir Grosu, who said that the investment in children is the most important one because investing in them, we invest in the future.

Director of the Civil Status Service Lucia Ciobanu said the last stage of the contest involved six women finalists. The contest commission assessed the sobriety, professional conduct and verbal-esthetic aspect of the finalists. Margareta Botea, of the Soldanesti Civil Status Service became the winner.

As there were six finalists, it was decided to invite six families to hand over the birth certificates to them in an official ceremony. The six families received prizes and a money award.
