The soldier of the Motorized Infantry Brigade No. 2 who severely beat a colleague of his was sentenced by the Buiucani Court to three years and one month in prison, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. On September 17, the Chisinau Military Prosecutor’s Office informed that a soldier was admitted to the Central Military Hospital in a serious condition. According to the preliminary information, the young man injured himself when he lifted containers with water while on duty at the canteen. But the prosecutors later established that on September 14, the soldier was kicked by a colleague of his in the abdomen without reason, in the unit’s summer canteen. Three days later, he was taken to the hospital and operated. He had his spleen removed. When questioned, the culprit admitted his guilt. The conviction can be appealed to a higher court.
