Soldier’s card no longer needed when validating ID papers

The applicants for identification papers will no more need to present the solder’s card. A relevant amendment to the legislative acts that regulate the issuing of ID papers was endorsed by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. Other amendments approved are aimed at improving the procedure by allowing the person’s representative to file an application to obtain the papers in the name of the given person. The validated identification papers will be issued not only to the applicant, but also to his/her representative or by recommended letter. The temporary identity card – Form No.9 – was included by law in the category of identification papers. Until now, this was stipulated by a Government Decision. According to Minister of Information and Communication Technology Pavel Filip, these amendments to the legislative acts will simplify the procedure for validating documents.
