The spring cleanup and greening campaign is underway in the municipality of Balti, IPN reports.

Under an ordinance made by acting mayor of Balti Octavian Mahu, all the enterprises, organizations and institutions and the owners of houses should clean up and lay out the adjoining areas, roads, sidewalks, parks, squares, recreational areas, lakes, rivers, etc.

The ordinance provides that students of a number of local education institutions and servicemen of the Motorized Infantry Brigade “Moldova” will be involved in the cleanup of parks and of the town’s lake.

The waste disposal company “Salubrity Solutions” is to set up areas for collecting waste, while the municipal enterprise “Amenajari si înverziri” (“Laying out and greening”) will place pots with flowers on the central streets Stefan cel Mare and Decebal.

The acting mayor’s ordinance obliges the employees of the town’s waste dump to allow the garbage that will be collected during the cleanup campaign to be taken there free of charge.
