A group of law teachers of the State University of Moldova received state awards on the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Faculty of Law for merits in developing law education, contribution to preparation of highly-qualified law specialists and for prodigious methodical and scientific work, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Parliament's press service, Moldova's Acting President Mihai Ghimpu conferred the Order of the Republic on professor Simion Doras and lecturer Victor Volcinschi. The Labor Glory Order was given to university teacher and dean of the Faculty of Law Gheorghe Avornic and lecturer Iurie Sedletski. Lecturers Gheorghe Chibac, Sergiu Cobaneanu, Victor Moraru, Nicolae Osmochescu and professors Vasile Cretuu, Vladimir Lavric and Boris Negru were awarded the Civic Merit medal. The honorific title Emeritus Person was conferred on professors Igor Dolea and Violeta Cojocaru and lecturer Eugenia Cojocari.
