The Straseni Emergencies Service on May 3 was handed over four special vehicles by the Austrian humanitarian organization “Concordia”. The handover ceremony involved interim Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and acting Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Government, Iurie Leanca said the donation represents a gesture of solidarity on the part of the Austrian state.

Dorin Recean stressed the reformation of the Ministry of the Interior includes the creation of working conditions for the institution’s employees and the given donation fits this objective.

The representative of “Concordia” Hans Kohler said that before making the donation he analyzed well the situation in Moldova. The vehicles are of two types: for the personnel of the Emergencies Service and for emergency intervention in road accidents.
