The Superior Council of Magistracy suggested the Council’s chairman Victor Micu for the post of judge of the Supreme Court of Justice. Parliament is to consider the suitability of the candidate, IPN reports.

Victor Micu believes his experience of about 20 years in the post of judge and in administrative posts enables him to contend for the post of judge of the Supreme Court of Justice. Within the contest it was mentioned there are no incompatibilities that can prevent a member of the Superior Council of Magistracy from applying for this post.

Applications to fill the vacancy have been also submitted by judges Mihail Diaconu and Viorica Puica, but Victor Micu obtained the highest score.
