Representatives of 60 ethnocultural organizations from Moldova will transform the Public Garden “Stephan the Great” in Chisinau into a city of multinational songs and dances on Sunday, September 19. There will be staged exhibitions of plastic arts and books, handicrafts and foods. The participants and guests of the festival will be received in the “Great House” set up in the central part of the Classical Writers’ Alley, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Interethnic Relations Bureau. The event will start with laying of flowers at the monument to Ruler Stefan the Great. The Festival of Ethnicities will be officially opened at 10.30, on the stage put up near the central fountain. Exhibits will be mounted on the alleys of the Public Garden. The Festival of Ethnicities is a nationwide event. Cultural-artistic activities involving national minorities will take place in all the districts of Moldova. The Festival themed “Unity through Diversity” is organized by the Interethnic Relations Bureau, the Chisinau City Hall and the local public authorities.
