Teo Carnat renounced the position of councilor of the Chisinau Council as he chose to serve on the Supreme Council of Magistrates. Contacted by IPN, he said that today is the last day that he will work as local councilor.

Teo Carnat said that among his priorities as a member of the Supreme Council of Magistrates are to ensure the independence of justice, to select and promote the best judges and to remove the corrupt persons from the judicial system. He also aims to restore the people’s confidence in the judicial system of Moldova.
