SA Termocom calls on the owners of apartments with autonomous heating systems to pay for the heat used to heat the common areas in their buildings. According to a communiqué from the heat supplier, more than 5,000 Chisinau apartments with autonomous heating systems have debts of over 4,000 lei, IPN reports.
Almost 3,000 apartment owners with such systems partially paid the debts, while over 16,000 owners cleared the debts.
The administration of SA Termocom says that under a Government Decision of September 20, 2011, the owners of apartments that were disconnected from the centralized heating system from October 1 this year must pay for the heat used to heat the common areas. The charge represents 20% of the price of heat calculated for a square meter of apartment or dorm room.
The tariff was set following normative losses of electricity in the technical stores and basements where the water supply and sewerage systems are maintained functional in the cold period of the year.
If the owners of apartments with autonomous heating systems do not settle the debts to the heat supplier, they will be sued.
The payments can be made at banks and post offices, through electronic payment terminals and at the central head office of SA Termocom, situated at 6 T. Vladimirescu St.
