Three candidates speaking other languages than Romanian, who today sat the Baccalaureate exam in the Romanian language and literature, were eliminated from the examination hall because they tried to copy, IPN reports.
Director of the Quality Assurance Agency Anatol Topala in a press briefing said notes, a mobile phone and headphones were found on the three. In general, the exam took place without incidents. Under the regulations on the holding of Baccalaureate exams, the students can leave the examination hall after the test papers are distributed only in emergencies and under supervision.
Anatol Topala called on the parents to encourage their children to have confidence in their knowledge and on the students to show a mature attitude and be honest and to devote time for preparations before the exams.
The exam in the Romanian language and literature for students speaking other languages than Romanian was sat at 68 Baccalaureate centers. The session involved over 3,500 students.
The next exam, in the language of study, will be taken at all the 103 Baccalaureate centers on June 5. This exam will be sat by 19,712 students, 16,474 of whom will take the exam in the Romanian language and literature, while 3,238 – in the Russian language and literature.
