The Government named Nicolae Platon as director general of the Tourism Agency. He earlier held the post of head of the State Main Tax Inspectorate. Until 2009, he worked in the tourism industry so that he has experience in this field.

Nicolae Platon will replace Ludmila Dumitras, who tendered her resignation. Ion Cebanu was discharged from the post of director general of the Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” also based on his resignation. In this connection, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca asked preparing a report on the situation in the area managed by “Moldsilva”, especially as regards the sale of wood and other resources.

Also today, June 5, the Cabinet dismissed Veaceslav Untila from the post of the State Ecological Inspectorate.
