Trade unions to set up International Social Dialogue Center

The trade unions in Moldova intend to create an International Social Dialogue Center that would serve as a platform for examining, analyzing and promoting ideas concerning improvement of cooperation between trade unions, employers and the state institutions, chairman of the National Confederation of Trade Unions Oleg Budza announced in a meeting with representatives of the International Labor Organization, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Confederation. “The development of social dialogue is very important for the trade unions as well as society in general. Currently, there are doubts about the efficiency of the tripartite talks. We hope the creation of the International Social Dialogue Center will enable to significantly improve the situation,” said Oleg Budza. The initiative forms part of the efforts to modernize the trade union movement in Moldova. Works are performed at the Labor Institute, where trade union staff is trained, to set up a hall for the International Social Dialogue Center.
