According to the organizers, "ClassFest" 2024 brings together the creations of young actors and directors from theater schools from Poland, Italy, Romania, Austria, Ukraine, France and Moldova. The festival promotes intercultural dialog, exchange of experience and the values of contemporary theatrical art.
Performances, workshops by international teachers, interactive discussions with artists and professionals in the field will be part of the "ClassFest" program, the festival's artistic director Svetlana Tirțău announced at a press conference.
The events will be organized in various institutions and performance halls in Chisinau, and access will be free. The festival is also organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova. "This partnership reflects our shared commitment to support arts education and to nurture young talent. The Festival, already becoming a tradition, is more than a cultural event; it is a dynamic platform for intercultural dialog, exchange of experience and promotion of creativity. This year's edition, organized under the theme "Theatre school and new theatrical realities", aims to connect tradition and innovation. We hope that the festival will continue to inspire, unite and open new horizons in the art of theater", said Diana Silvestru, Head of Department at the Ministry of Culture.
Another partner is the Romanian Cultural Institute "Mihai Eminescu" in Chisinau, which supported the participation of representatives from four Romanian universities. "In addition to the support that we give almost every year to this absolutely honorable event, which brings the two shores of the Prut River closer, we are very pleased and happy that every year we contribute to many other events that take place within the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts", said the project coordinator at the Romanian Romanian Romanian Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, Ecaterina Dumbrăveanu.
The Rector of the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, Victoria Melnic, says the festival is a real opportunity to discover new talents and exchange experiences with theater professionals.
