Training for contract soldiers of the National Army

A group of soldiers from the National Army has completed the pilot initial training course for contract soldiers. Over the course of 55 days, the participants learned essential skills for military work, developing their leadership, organizational and sub-unit management skills at the tactical level.

The course was led by instructors from the National Army, themselves trained under the Humanitarian Mine Action-HMA program, IPN reports.

As part of the same program, the Codru Engineer Battalion received a batch of equipment from the US government.

Defense Minister Anatoly Nosatyi stressed the importance of these courses and equipment, noting that specialized training and infrastructure help to increase the efficiency and safety in the missions of the National Army.

The "Humanitarian Mine Action" program has been active in Moldova since 2013 and is aimed at the continuous development of the National Army's capabilities in the field of demining and explosive hazard management, contributing to the safety and protection of the population.
