The trolleybus driver who fatally struck a pedestrian a year and three months ago got three years in prison, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to the prosecutors, last September the 24-year-old man driving the trolleybus along Alecu Russo St in Chisinau broke the traffic regulations and hit a woman who was crossing the street. The victim was admitted to the reanimatology section of the Chisinau Emergency Hospital, where she died two days later. The 60-year-old woman visited her children who live in Chisinau and that morning was heading for the terminal to take a bus to her home in Cimislia district. Under the motor-technical report, the driver had the possibility of avoiding the accident.
