President Nicolae Timofti received the credentials of Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Moldova, with residence in Kiev, Nurberdy Amanmuradov, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, the head of state wished Nurberdy Amanmuradov success in his diplomatic mission and voiced hope that the Moldovan-Turkmen relations will become stronger during his tenure. Nicolae Timofti and Nurberdy Amanmuradov agreed that the Moldovan and Turkmen authorities will initiate discussions on a series of joint economic projects, including in the energy sector.

Nicolae Timofti also said that the discussions will be continued during the visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Moldova on July 24-25.
