A number of TV channels will be monitored during April 5-12 to see how they respect the norms concerning the volume of national programs in the broadcast schedule, IPN reports.

A decision to this effect was taken by the Broadcasting Coordination Council on April 4. The channels that will be monitored are: Prime TV, Pro TV Chisinau, TV 7, Canal 3, CTC mega, 2 Plus, Super TV, Ren TV Moldova, N4, Acasa în Moldova, Bravo, Super TV, and RTR Moldova. The other channels will be included in another monitoring stage.

In the same meeting, the Council decided to issue a new broadcast license to the radio station Maestro FM and the TV channel 2 Plus. It also allowed changing the license conditions for Prime TV by enabling it to broadcast programs by satellite. The Council authorized TLFM SRL to cede the broadcast licenses of three radio stations from Chisinau, Balti and Cahul to Prime TV SRL.

The national programs in the broadcast schedules of the radio stations and TV cannels must represent minimum 30%. Such a decision took effect on April 1, 2013.
