The Chisinau Urban Bus Company will reopen two bus routes – No. 19 on October 14, and No. 26 on October 15. The company’s director Iacob Capcelea has told IPN that the two routes were closed 17 years ago and were reopened for a short period in 2004.
The bus routes were restored because the itineraries of the minibuses running on routes No.119 and 126 will be modified.
The bus route No. 19 will connect the Botanica and Rascani districts on the following itinerary: Cuza-Voda – Sarmizegetusa – Decebal – Gagarin – Albisoara – Renasterii Nationale – Kiev – Moscova – Studentilor.
The bus route No. 26 will ensure connection between the districts Buiucani and Rascani. The bus will set off from Alba Iulia St and will go along Ion Creanga – Stefan cel Mare – Banulescu Bodoni – 31 august 1989 – Pushkin – Comonautilor – Grigore Vieru – Renasterii Nationale – Kiev – Moscova – Studentilor – Socoleni – Doina.
By nine buses will run on each of these routes.
On the Day of Chisinau City, on October 14, the trips by buses No. 19 will be free. New units of transport will be added to the bus route No. 23 and free trips will be available on this route also for a day.
