Two men,22 and 24, were identified and arrested on suspicion of committing a robbery and double murder in Vulcanesti, killing a 33-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter. Both suspects are from the same locality, one of them having a criminal record and a Ukrainian residence permit, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to the Ministry of Interior, the preliminary police investigation of has established that the suspects had entered the victims’ house to steal content and money. The parents of the deceased woman work in Turkey, which made them believe they will find money in the house. After their plan failed and they found no money, they took a laptop, and in order to avoid being identified by the victims, they stabbed them. One of the suspects was arrested during his attempt to cross the state border, and the other one was cuffed right in his home. The police also found the two knives used to commit the murder. Currently the two are being charged with intentional murder and, if found guilty, face heavy jail terms including life sentences. In the morning of August 3, the Guard Unit of the Vulcanesti district commissariat received the notice of a double homicide in the city of Vulcanesti. Upon arriving at the scene, in a private house on the city's outskirts, the police found the bodies of a woman and her daughter with signs of a violent death. The woman and her daughter were living in the house of the woman’s parents, after her divorce.
