The trolleybus routes No. 11 and No. 16 will not travel in summer. These were suspended from June 1. Contacted by IPN, the head of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Gheorghe Morgoci said they took such a decision because the flow of passengers is lower in the period.

According to Gheorghe Morgoci, the suspension of trolleybus routes in summer is an old practice and the inhabitants are not affected by this. In summer, the number of passengers in Chisinau is much lower as the students are on vacation and many residents are on leave.

The two trolleybus routes will be restored on September 1.
