Unemployed forges documents to get loan

Two women and a man from Chisinau were punished for forging official documents in order to obtain a bank loan, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. The man was unemployed. In April 2011, he asked an acquaintance of his to help him counterfeit a work record book and a salary certificate so that he could apply for a loan. The woman sent the men’s personal data to another woman, who forged the necessary documents. The man paid €500 for the service. But he did not get a loan. Two banks refused to grant him a loan. The man and the woman who counterfeit the documents got by three years and a half, while the woman who acted as an intermediary was given a one-year suspended sentence. The decision can be appealed to a higher court.
