A member of the US Embassy staff in Chisinau has been admitted to the Emergency Hospital after being struck on Friday around 9:00 by a car belonging to the Embassy. Traffic Police spokesperson Aurelia Mija has told Info-Prim Neo that the man was hit as the driver was engaged in a turn maneuver. Sources in the Emergency Hospital confirmed the admission, but refused to disclose any information about the patient's condition, citing confidentiality rules. The Embassy's press service also confirmed there had been an accident involving a US citizen, but avoided to give further details.
