The citizens of Moldova will travel visa-free to Israel. Prime Minister Iurie Leanca was informed about the relevant decision of the Israeli Government by Foreign Minister of Israel Avigdor Liberman in a telephone conversation on September 21, IPN reports.
From September 22, the competent Israeli institutions will take the steps needed for the decision to take effect as soon as possible. The date from which the Moldovans citizens will travel visa-free to Israel will be announced later.
Moldova and Israel have signed 24 bilateral agreements, including the agreement on the employment of 1,000 Moldovans. Another eight Moldovan-Israeli accords are being negotiated.
Avigdor Liberman paid an official visit to Moldova three years ago.
