The beds intended for patients with acute respiratory infections were almost fully occupied in the hospitals of Chisinau municipality. Hospitals are operating at full capacity. Given the high risk of transmission of infections, it was decided to restrict visits, IPN reports.

Also, the stocks of antiviral drugs and the capacities of the day inpatient units will be reassessed in order to allow the treatment of some of the patients at home or according to the day regime

The cases of respiratory infections last week was rose to over 4,500, by 370 cases more than the previous week. 52% of adults and 32% of children had to be hospitalized, according to data from the General Division of Medical and Social Assistance.
