Wanted Moldovan arrested in Moscow
A Moldovan accused of killing a man in Bucharest and suspected of trying to shoot a Russian banker was arrested in Moscow. He was caught as a result of cooperation between police officers of Russia, Italy, Moldova and Scotland Yard, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Mediafax, the Moldovan aged 33 was put on the wanted list. He fired six shots at former Russian banker Gherman Gorbuntsov in London’s Docklands quarter, but didn’t kill him. It should be noted that Gherman Gorbuntsov was wanted by the Moldovan authorities for swindles.
The Moldovan is accused of murder attempt and of not respecting the arms and munitions regime. An arrest warrant was issued against him on January 18.
The Romanian authorities asked that the Moldovan be extradited from Moscow so that he can be investigated in Romania.
