The winter of 2013-2014 will be frosty, but the temperatures will be within the norm. First vice director of the State Hydrometeorology Service Elina Plesca said that such winters occur once in 4-5 years.
“They say that the coming winter will be the frostiest in the last few years. The Russian forecasters were the first to make such forecasts. They were followed by U.S. forecasters. According to official data, which are supported by the World Meteorological Organization, the indicators for the region where our country is situated show the winter will be normal,” Elina Plesca stated for IPN. She added that there will be heavy snow, but the temperatures will not exceed the norm.
In the first week of October, the danger of frost will persist. The lowest temperatures on October 4-5 will vary between minus 1 and minus 4 degrees Celsius. There will be precipitation on the weekend. The next few weeks it will be cold.
