The rescuers in Cahul managed to take a woman out of a 25-meter-deep well alive this morning. The woman jumped into the well as she wanted to kill herself. Civil Protection and Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo that the rescuers were informed about the incident by passersby, who saw how the woman threw herself into the well. The rescue operation lasted for about 10 minutes. Liliana Puscasu said the cases of taking persons out of wells alive are very rare. The police are investigating the case.
