The State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code advisory for snow and blizzard for the southern districts and for some of the settlements situated in central Moldova, including Chisinau, IPN reports.

A Mediterranean cyclone crossing southern Europe is approaching Moldova. Heavy snow will fall in Moldova on March 26, especially in the southern part of the country.

The eastern wind will intensify to up to 18 meters per second and the snow will be drifted.
