A 21-year-old man from Rautel, Falesti died in the hospital several hours after he was hit by a car in Balti town. The accident happened on Stefan cel Mare St on May 22, at about 9pm. According to the Traffic Police Division, the young man was jaywalking and was struck by a car driven by a man aged 24, who did not manage to avoid the collision. Sources in the mayor’s office of Rautel have told Info-Prim Neo that the man went to Balti to celebrate the town’s day. The villagers often go to Balti because it is situated not far from Rautel. The young man recently returned from Russia and worked as a driver on the Glinjeni – Balti route. The nine accidents that happened on the national roads yesterday and last night resulted in eight persons hurt and one killed.
