Zinaida Greceanai: Czech presidency will contribute to advance Moldova's dialog with EU

The presidency of the European Union to be taken over by the Czech Republic as of January 1, 2009, will contribute to advance the dialog between Moldova with the EU, said Prime-Minister Zinaida Greceanai on Monday at a meeting with the Czech ambassador to Moldova, Petr Kypr, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Government's press service. The Premier has said the Czech Presidency of the EU will give impetus to the talks in the 5+2 format in the Transnistrian issue, a format which has been greeted by a number of countries and international organizations. Zinaida Greceanai has thanked for the support to Moldova in liquidating the flood consequences and for the intention to make a system to prevent and protect from floods. The Prime-Minister invites her Czech counterpart to pay an official visit to Moldova. Ambassador Petr Kypr has said the Czech side is already working on a project meant to build a system to prevent and protect from floods in Moldova. First, he said, a feasibility research is needed. The Czech Rep. was affected by floods in 2002, when the waters covered almost 1/3 of the Czech territory.
