Turkish foreign minister to visit Chisinau
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu will be paying a working visit to Chisinau on May 12-13, at the invitation of his Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca. This will be the first visit to Moldova by a Turkish foreign minister in the history of the bilateral relations between the two states, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Foreign Ministry of Moldova.
The program of the visit to Chisinau includes meetings with Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca, President Nicolae Timofti, and Prime Minister Vlad Filat.
The discussions will center on the development of the bilateral economic and political cooperation, attraction of Turkish investments to the national economy, regional and sector cooperation, the European integration process, and the Transnistrian dispute. There will be signed an intergovernmental protocol on cooperation in the field of archives.
The Turkish delegation will also pay a visit to the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
