The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) launched a campaign to inform household consumers about their rights in the relations with the suppliers working in the energy sector, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The information campaign “Know your Rights” will last for a year. The Agency’s director general Victor Parlikov said effort will be made to inform the consumers about the ANRE’s roles, including to regulate the energy sector, adjust the tariffs and protect the rights of the consumers.
The last report on the protection of the energy consumers for 2011 shows that the number of petitions has increased. The information campaign aims to raise consumers’ awareness of their rights, increase their confidence in public institutions and encourage the solving of petitions by less costly ways.
The campaign will include videos and audios that will be broadcast at the national radio and TV stations. There will be published a series of informative brochures.
The first product of the campaign is the launch of the Green Line service (0-800-10-800) that is free of charge from March 15. The service is available between 09.00 and 12.00 and between 13.00 and 16.00. In the future it will be available 24 hours of 24.
