The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) did not change its position, the Council’s chairman Marian Pocaznoi stated for Info-Prim Neo when asked to comment on the request of the Public Association “Moldova Mea”, which threatened to sue the Council if it does not give back the license to the private TV channel NIT, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The Council will examine their application, when it arrives, and will pronounce on the request in a public meeting. But I can tell you that our position on the withdrawal of the license of NIT remained unchanged,” said Marian Pocaznoi.
He also said that the BCC did not break the law as it acted in accordance with the legislation and the Constitution. “If somebody does not agree, they can sue us,” stated Marian Pocaznoi.
Members of the Association “Moldova Mea” said that if they go to court, they will ask damages of 1 million lei from every member of the BCC.
