The Constitutional Court on December 28 rejected the request of the group of 14 MPs who left the Party of Communists to suspend President Nicolae Timofti’s decree to nominate Ion Sturza as a candidate for Prime Minister, IPN reports.

The Court announced that on December 29 it will examine the request of the same group of MPs to verify the constitutionality of the President’s decree.

Also, the Court will examine the request to interpret Article 98, paragraph (1) of the Constitution.
