A Drochia police officer and two civilians were arrested for allegedly dealing in illegal drugs, the Prosecutor General's Office reported.

The investigation started from a tip-off and the arrest follows months of surveillance.

During searches at the suspect's homes and work places, including at a Balti casino, the police discovered a number of packets containing substances that are believed to be drugs. Their quantity and quality are to be established by forensic experts.
