A doctor and his assistant from Chisinau needed medical care after their ambulance collided with two vehicles and overturned at the intersection of Decebal Blvd. and Trandafirilor St in the evening of January 3. Traffic Police Division PR inspector Aurelia Mija has told Info-Prim Neo that the ambulance passed at the red color of the stoplights with the siren wailing and crashed into two vehicles that moved legally, but did not give way to it. According to the National Emergency Medicine Center, the collision was so powerful that the ambulance overturned. The doctor and his assistant suffered brain injury, while the driver sustained an elbow contusion. The three persons were taken to the hospital. The police said the drivers of the two cars were to give way to the ambulance that had the siren on, while the ambulance driver was to make sure that passing was safe.
