The border police of Basarabeasca Sector caught eight men in the act of illegally cutting trees not far from the Chiriet-Lunga–Podgornoe road. They were fined by 200 lei for violating the border regime, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Border Police. The men are residents of Chiriet-Lunga village of Ceadir-Lunga district. They were equipped with tools for cutting trees and managed to cut 4 cubic meters of wood until discovered. The border police sent the case to the Ceadir- Lunga police commissariat.
