The Donduseni Archpriestship of the Bessarabian Metropolitan Church on June 24 received a donation of over 4,000 books from the Embassy of Romania to Moldova, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Embassy says that on this occasion, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca visited the Church of Saints Emperors Constantine and Elena in Corlateni Bishopric. The diplomat also had a meeting with the Archpriest of Donduseni Sergiu Maritoi wherein the two were examined the prospects of cooperation between the Embassy of Romania and the Donduseni Archpriestship of the Basarabian Metropolitan Church.

The books, donated by the Bacau County Council, will be distributed to the libraries of the bishoprics of the Donduseni Archpriestship and those from the neighborhood, of the Basarabian Metropolitan Church.
