A young man from Floresti faces up to 10 years in jail. He is suspected of attacking a motorist and of stealing the car after shutting the driver up in the trunk, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the police, the incident happened on March 11. The 20-year-old man, being near Temeleuti village, stopped a car passing by and asked to be taken to another settlement. As he couldn’t come to terms with the driver aged 53, the man hit him with an object, immobilized him and then shut him up in the car’s trunk. Moving along the Baltsi-Rybnitsa road, the young man lost control of the car. The vehicle skidded off the road ands ended up in a ditch. The police caught the man there. The young man is investigated for kidnapping a person and stealing a unit of transport. Earlier, he was tried for theft, injuring and hooliganism.
