Parliament appointed four members of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” (TRM). Two more members must be named for filling all the vacancies on the Board, IPN reports.

The four members confirmed in the March 5 sitting are Vitalie Tapes, Stela Nistor, Ludmila Vasilache, and Lilia Gurez.

The Board has been nonfunctional since the end of 2013, when the terms in office of six of the nine members expired.

The Supervisory Board is the autonomous administrative body of “Teleradio-Moldova”. Its duty is to ensure the people’s right to obtain accurate, comprehensive and operative information and to monitor the observance by the TRM of the legal and statutory provisions.
