Ghimpu to Filat: If you are not dismissed today, you’ll be tomorrow

The leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu, when delivering a speech in Parliament on March 5, told Prime Minister Vlad Filat that if he is not dismissed by the censure motion that is to be debated by the lawmakers, he will be dismissed on another day, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Liberal said that he and his colleagues cannot ignore all kinds of information about corruption and smuggling. “These are not principles and values by which we abide and for which we struggled,” stated Mihai Ghimpu. He also said that who raises the sword against the own people, will die by that sword. The PL will not vote for the censure motion only because it was put forward by the Communists. “But if you are not dismissed today, you will be dismissed tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. We will not go to elections together with you as a leader of the alliance. Long live the alliance for people! Down with the alliance of the mafia!” he stated. The unaffiliated MPs said they will vote for the censure motion. It’s not yet clear what the Democrats will do. Earlier, they said they will vote in favor of the motion if the Premier does not resign.
