Halt in sale of tickets by Russia will not affect Moldovan passengers
Russia’s decision to suspend the sale of tickets for train routes to Ukraine and transit routes through this country will not affect the passengers in Moldova. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, vice director of Moldova’s Railroads Valeriu Constantinov said the company will continue to sell tickets to Russia. The only inconvenience is that the people who bought tickets for the Chisinau-Moscow train No. 47 will have to wait in the station for an hour as the train will run according to the old schedule until December 3.
Thus, the passengers who purchased tickets for 10.50 will leave Chisinau at 11.37. Those who will not know this will have to wait in the station for almost an hour. Valeriu Constantinov said the sale of tickets in Chisinau was also stopped, but only for several days in October.
Russia decided to stop selling tickets for train routes to Ukraine and transit routes crossing this country until December 3 in connection with the fact that Ukraine switches to winter time this weekend, though it earlier announced it wouldn’t do it. Russia’s Railways argued the sale of train tickets was suspended owing to the necessity of modifying the train schedules. The difference between the local time in Ukraine and Russia will be two hours
