Hundreds of cultivated hectares destroyed by rains

Yesterday’s, July 12, rains affected hundreds of hectares of crops, in several regions of the country. The PR officer of the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service Diana Turcan told Info-Prim Neo that by 10:30 am two villages in Causeni district still didn't have power supply, reports Info-Prim Neo. 22 hectares of orchards from Cobusca Veche, Anenii Noi district, were destroyed by the rain, and in Varnita village, of the same district, several gardens were filled with mud. In Ursoaia village, Causeni district, the rains destroyed over 200 hectares of corn and sunflower, along with several road segments, and the wind tore apart roofs on 11 houses. In Riscova village, Criuleni district, 9 houses were silted, but the residents did not call the Emergency Situations Service, because they manage to remove the storm consequences by themselves and with the help of the local authorities. In Bascalia village, Anenii Noi district, the storm destroyed 400 square meters of steel tiles. The State Weather Service forecasts isolated showers for today as well. Additionally, weathermen maintain a Code Yellow advisory for heat, with the high temperatures around 33 degrees Celsius.
