Journalists encouraged to promote healthy lifestyle

Journalists and media institutions in Moldova are invited by the Ministry of Health to submit project proposals in a public awareness raising campaign intended to promote healthy life habits, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Deputy Health Minister Mihai Magdei, the call for project proposals aims to change the attitude and the behavior of the Moldovan population toward a healthy lifestyle; the population should be guided to show greater concern for their health and prevention of diseases. Olga Osadci, communication expert with the project “Support to Health Reform and Strengthening of Primary Healthcare”, says the target groups of the projects should be the population in general, the family, the preventive medicine centers, the centers for emergency medicine. The time-frame of the projects should be April-July 2010 and the budgets should not exceed 790 euros. The deadline for submissions is 1 March 2010. Further details are available at www.amp.md. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the EU-funded project “Support to Health Reform and Strengthening of Primary Healthcare”.
