Law-enforcers try to fabricate evidence in Pro TV cameraman case: his barrister

“I consider the law-enforcing bodies try to solve the problem they have and try to fabricate evidence in the penal inquest to be started,” said Vlad Rosca, the barrister of Pro TV cameraman Mihai Sambra, in a report aired Friday evening by the station. “I highlight, from the Prosecutor's communique, the hooligan-like actions of Mihai being found and the fact the Procuratura will assess them, but it does not say whether the Prosecutor's Office will react or not to our complaint,” the lawyer specified. According to the TV station, the barrister has also said the law-enforcing bodies did not uncover and did not punish the ones guilty of maltreating Mihai Sambra, but they commit an offense by inventing fake witnesses and evidence against him. Another Pro TV report aired on Friday evening showed pictures meant to dismiss the statements of the law-enforcing bodies that Mihai Sambra would have been beaten by dormitory colleagues and not by policemen. The version of the law-enforcing bodies is based on the witnesses saying Sambra was in the dormitory at a certain time and was already beaten. While waitresses of a bar say he was then there with several colleagues. The station's conclusion, based on all the statements, is that the law-enforcers fabricate a file to its employee, instead of identifying and punishing the people truly guilty. Pro TV reminds of a similar attempt by the police in which it was involved two years ago. “Then, the sales manager, Ghenadie Braghis, was abusively and illegally arrested accused of taking bribe. He was held in the police's reprimand center and was set free four days later. Finally the file was canceled because of shortage of evidence and nobody has been punished for that abuse.”
