Molovata customs post closed due to strong winds

The Molovata pier customs post was temporarily closed due to unfavorable weather conditions, characterized by strong gusts of wind that affect movement on the Nistru River. Thus, travelers are urged to opt for the Criuleni 18 internal checkpoint located about 32 kilometers away, IPN reports.

The authorities said that the Molovata customs post will be reopened as soon as the weather permits. The other customs posts situated in the region work according to the usual program.

Meteorologists warn of the risks posed by strong winds. It is recommended to avoid approaching trees, as well as parking vehicles in areas where trees could be downed. The authorities also warn that interruptions in the supply of power and in communications are possible due to the gusts of wind.

Temperatures are expected to rise from the beginning of next week. On April 16, the highs will be 15-20 degrees Celsius. This weekend, the temperatures will be low, the wind will blow strongly and there will be precipitation in the form of rain, sleet and snow.
