The EVO application will now include the "Powers of Attorney" module that allows a person to act on behalf of another person for a specific purpose. A power of attorney is used to represent personal interests in relation to state institutions. According to the authorities, this initiative is meant to reduce bureaucracy and simplify the interaction of citizens and businesses with the state, IPN reports.
Individuals and legal entities can create and manage over 63 types of powers of attorney. With the help of a power of attorney, a person can represent another person when requesting services, even at the counter. To do this, the representative must provide the power of attorney code and the identity card, said the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.
To designate a representative through the EVO app, users need to log in to the app, access the "Power of attorney" module, create a new power of attorney and select its type. Subsequently, the user will add the representative by indicating the IDNP or IDNO, will set the validity period and will digitally sign the power of attorney using the MSign platform.

To present a power of attorney, the person needs an identity document and the power of attorney code.
When the user wants to check their status and content, they are urged to access EVO or mpower.gov.md, the "Verify" option and enter the power of attorney code.
EVO is the integrated government application that simplifies citizens' access to public services. Publicly launched on June 6, 2024, the application offers access to digital documents, information about citizens and businesses, the possibility of making payments for various services, and now also the option of powers of attorney. To access all EVO functionalities, citizens need an electronic signature. Anyone can choose between the mobile electronic signature (offered by Orange or Moldcell) or the one on a memory stick, issued by the information Technology and Cybersecurity Service or in all the offices of the Public Services Agency.
