More than 14,600 people in January paid the mandatory health insurance premium in fixed amount. The figure is by 4,300 higher compared with the corresponding period last year, IPN has learned from the National Health Insurance Company.
In a press release, the Company says over 10,000 of all the payers benefitted from 50% discounts off the premium’s value. These include founders of individual enterprises, lessors, lessees, patent holders and other persons who do not work and are not insured by the state. Another almost 4,500 persons who own farmland were offered a 75% discount.
The mandatory health insurance premium in fixed amount for 2017 is 4,056 lei. The 50% and 75% discounts are valid until March 31, 2017.
The health insurance policy can be paid at the offices of Moldova’s Post Office and the local agencies of the National Health Insurance Company.
