Romania to approve second tranche of 100m non-reimbursable aid€ offered to Moldova

The Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Romania, Alexandru Mihai Ghigiu, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Romania, Victor Chirila, during a meeting discussed the stage of approval of the second tranche of the non-reimbursable financial aid to the value of €100 million offered by the Romanian Government to Moldova,  IPN reports.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Romania noted that the interlocutors took stock of the bilateral projects in the field of energy infrastructure, transport, and customs cooperation. The sides underlined the openness and support of Romanian Government for the implementation of projects of strategic importance for Moldova.

The non-reimbursable financial aid from Romania is intended for the implementation of projects in key sectors of the Republic of Moldova, for a period of seven years. Under an agreement, Romania and the Republic of Moldova will develop their cooperation in the energy sector, transport infrastructure, environmental protection and climate change combating, will provide support to small and medium-sized enterprises, etc.
